Pita Bowl: Fresh and Flavorful Mediterranean Eats in San Diego’s Mission Beach

Tried the new Pita Bowl in North Mission Beach and really enjoyed it. The food is fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling without being heavy. I had the chicken rice bowl and my sister got a wrap (tortilla instead of pita), and we were both pleasantly surprised by how satisfying it was. Feels like a family-owned spot, which is always great to support. Only downsides: the ordering glass makes it a little hard to hear, and the line setup could be more organized. That said, the food and overall experience were excellent — definitely worth a visit!

We absolutely love PITA Bowl! Every time we visit, the owners greet us with the warmest, kindest smiles and treat us with so much care. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the food… oh my goodness—it’s not only delicious but also incredibly healthy. Everything is made fresh, and you can taste the love in every bite. We loved it so much that we even had our food catered from Pita Bowl for a family party. It was a huge hit—so much so that as soon as we set it down, everyone went back for seconds (and even thirds!). It was gone in no time, and our family couldn’t stop raving about how amazing it tasted. We are so grateful for the owners, who always go above and beyond for their customers. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with friendly faces. The staff gave recommendations and were very polite. My wife went with fries topped with steak. And, I got the steak nachos. They use pita chips for the nachos. The steak was fresh and had good flavor. The fries were crunchy and flavorful. Good food. Good atmosphere. Maybe a little pricey, but very filling.

The food here is Excellent. It's fresh, homemade and healthy. I ordered an Earth bowl - The Babaganoush was delicious with the perfect amount of smoked flavor. The falafel was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. They use a lot of fresh herbs, garbanzo beans, and cook it in avocado oil. Although the steak shwarma, Was initially dry, she replaced it with a moist and tender serving. I enjoy giving my business to family run operations that serve homemade and healthy food. If you like authentic Middle Eastern food, this is a must try for casual eating.

We got a steak bowl, some fries, and the Dubai chocolate “bar.” The bowl was very delicious and you could taste every ingredient, the fries were super crispy, and the Dubai chocolate bar was more like a cake/dessert. For the amount of money we payed, you would’ve excepted that we got way more food portion wise. A bit pricey in my opinion for good Mediterranean food.

Fresh and delicious! If you want to have a meal that is flavorful, healthy, and filling come over here. Their dine in patio is a great place to enjoy a wonderful taste of Mediterranean food with a coastal breeze.

One of the best falafel I’ve had! so fresh and flavorful! The service was honestly the best part—so kind and welcoming. I could smell the fresh falafel as soon as I walked in, and it instantly brought me back to my travels in the Middle East. Crispy, warm, and made with love. A true gem of a family-owned spot. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is beautiful, has an awesome open concept and incredible authentic Mediterranean food. Holy yum !!!! We got the bowl and the wrap of chicken and beef shawarma which rocked our tastebuds. Highly recommend
